Ethel M Chocolates and Cactus Garden – Ethel M Chocolate Factory and Cactus Garden where everyone can enjoy premium chocolate tastings, a self-guided factory viewing aisle and of course their gourmet gift shop (perfect place to get a gift for back home). This experience also includes an opportunity to stroll Nevada’s largest botanical cactus garden! The three-acre cactus garden is home to over 300 species of plants, mostly cacti and succulents native to the Southwest, Australia and South America. This botanical desert terrain is camera ready all year long!

Lion Habitat Ranch – Take a self-guided tour of the Lion Habitat Ranch and enjoy an up-close look at more than 40 lions and their cubs. While the lions are busy lounging, playing and napping in their habitat, you’ll find Ozzie, the painting giraffe busy at his craft, so make sure to bring your camera as Ozzie doesn’t shy away from a great photo op!

Cowabunga Bay – Bring back your childhood memories with the scent of chlorine and sunscreen and enjoy a day at the waterpark. Voted Best waterpark in Southern Nevada, Cowabunga Bay features over 20 water slides, pools and activities, a perfect place for parents to cool off while the kids burn that vacation energy.

Clark County Heritage Museum – Go back in time at this 30-acre museum which features a modern exhibit hall with a timeline display about Southern Nevada from pre-historic to modern times. With a collection of restored historic buildings that depict daily life from different decades in Southern Nevada, you will have the opportunity to explore the rich and colorful history of our valley, as well as appreciate our current day luxuries like air conditioning and indoor plumbing.

Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve – Home to thousands of migratory waterfowl as well as numerous resident desert birds, the Henderson Bird Viewing Preserve includes nine ponds available for birding, surrounded by both paved and soft surfaces. With the landscape changing with the seasons, you will forget you are in the Nevada desert at this tranquil spot. Walk around the Preserve at your leisure or enjoy a guided tour, either way, the views are breathtaking.

Lake Las Vegas – With adventure watersports like water flyboarding, stand-up paddle boarding and an inflatable aqua park, there is something for everyone at Lake Las Vegas, including two Jack Nicklaus signature designed golf courses. The Mine Experience – Open to the public on the First Saturday of every month from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., the Mine Experience at the McCaw School of Mines will give your family a chance to see the only simulated underground gold mine in the state, as well as explore its exhibits and Visitor’s Center.
